This game was made in under two weeks to take part in the Gandi IDE Scratch Game Jam #6. Apologies for any bugs you may experience because of this. If you do like this game, please go check out Chuck and The Chick, the first game!

Hello, and welcome to the second game in the 'Chuck and The Chick' universe! (Yes, there is lore.) Here, you will fight against the evil eggs of this world (or will you)? Good luck, and hopefully you can fend off those foul yolks!

Controls: WASD to move, aim with the mouse and click to shoot. Use space to 'Smoke Bomb'.  You cannot kill bosses.

The egg movement is very nice. it really keeps you on your toes. not many people do it where the player changes costume after being hit. thats  a good way of conveying health without messy UI.

Thanks for giving the first compliment I have gotten on this game lol. I appreciate it.

go watch a tutorial please.

just do it.

I will.

I'll do it.

Or actually, maybe I won't. I want to understand what my code means when I make it, and I know if I watch a tutorial, I will end up just copying from the video, and I will learn nothing. I don't absorb tutorials super well. I much prefer making games from my own 84 keys on my keyboard.  Even if the games aren't great, at the end of the day I am still proud of these little projects no matter how much negative feedback they get. Even though I do acknowledge that a lot of the negative feedback is valid, and I appreciate it.

I wasn't able to fully experience this game. On one hand, the loading process was very slow, and on the other hand, the keyboard controls didn't work. I believe that through this jam, you will make significant progress.

I am sorry I somehow didn't see you comment, and therefore took a while to reply. I don't know how to fix the loading time, that is because of turbowarp, which I cannot fix, as far as I know. I am confused as to your problem with the keyboard controls. For me, and it seems like for a few others, WASD works. I don't know why you are experiencing these problems, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Have a good day. Or night. Whatever time of day it is when you see this.

BETTERRRR MOVEMENT!!!!

Sorry, this game was made is scratch, and I am an amateur dev. I have tried to implement better movement to no avail. If you know of a better way to have movement in a game like this made in scratch, please let me know. Anyways, thanks for the feedback.

I cant play

Could I have more specific feedback about what is wrong so I can help you with it or possibly update the game?

I cant move so i cant avoid the egg so i cant play

You are using WASD, right? I have tested both the download and the in-browser versions, and the character can move. Moving, granted, is not very fluid, but I haven't watched any tutorials or nothing, I just made the movement mechanics. I will try to make movement smoother in future projects, and I may even update the game once the jam is over.

You can update your game while the submission phase is happening :/

You still haven't specified about not being able to move. Wasd and space work perfectly fine on my end. If you are talking about fluid movement, which I assume you are, I appreciate the feedback, but I know that the movement isn't very fluid. I may either try updating the game or try to learn how to make more fluid movement. Yes, I know tutorials exist for people like me to watch. I don't absorb tutorial very well, and I always end up just copying stuff down, while not learning anything about how it works. I want to be able to understand my code.

Yes! I voted for the theme, and unfortunately, the one I voted for did not win. It still turned out good, though, as I was planning on having the world against the player anyways.

yeeee! you got the jammer role~
